Iowa DOT installing hundreds of snow plow cameras

DES MOINES, Iowa – Now that winter is on our doorstep, the Iowa DOT is making changes to help drivers stay safe on the roads.

It’s putting 600 cameras in the driver’s seat of snow plows around the state.

Officials want people at home to be able to look at live road conditions before heading out.

The cameras should be in place by the end of the month.
